Diesel reimagined
An important element to the Diesel Fall/Winter 2025 show was the return of an iconic figure — the colossal inflatable doll first seen on Diesel’s Spring/Summer 2023 runway. Once a bold emblem of the brand’s rebellious spirit, the massive figure was resurrected and thoughtfully reimagined, this time serving as a sprawling canvas for a high-profile graffiti artist’s work. Diesel’s creative director, Glenn Martens, brought together a global street art collective that included talent from China, South Africa, the United States and beyond. Dennis Vanderbroeck, the creative lead for the show, described the project as “a celebration of artistry, community, and inclusivity.” The initiative invited artists — whether trained at prestigious art schools or rooted in grassroots graffiti crews — to make their mark, giving them the freedom to contribute. In an industry often defined by exclusivity, the show intentionally created a platform where the creative process was open, collaborative, and shared.
